SUTTON were still looking for their first win of the new year when they entertained Bedworth United at Coles Lane.
They had secured the three points earlier in the season away to their visitors, but Bedworth came with a recent victory over high-flying Spalding, so it was going to be tough.
Sutton soon settled and a rasping shot from Kyle Byrne hit the crossbar before they went ahead in the 12th minute when a great cross from Oscar Tonge was turned into his own net by Luke Rowe.
