JAMIE Mellen’s first goal of 2024 three minutes from time saw Lancaster end their home campaign on a high, rallying from behind to down in-form Gainsborough Trinity at Giant Axe.
Gainsborough got off to a flying start after just two minutes, Tom Stewart helpless to stop Dayle Southwell firing home from the edge of the area.
Lancaster struggled to contend with the blustery conditions and could’ve been further behind three minutes later, Stewart denying Declan Howe.
