■IT was another windswept day at Woodhorn Lane which stopped much football being played.
With the wind behind them in the first half, Ashington failed to muster a shot on goal, while Grantham held a strong back line.
Ashington’s first chance on goal came after 65 minutes when James McGeroge found himself free, but was unable to keep a show down.
Grantham scored the only goal after 73 minutes, when a long throw was received by Elliot Walker who made no mistake.
