■ AFC Rushden & Dia- secured victory monds at Walsall Wood, two goals short of hauling themselves out of the relegation places.
The visitors started strongly, an unmarked Ethan Johnston heading them into the lead with just three minutes on the clock.
Despite a dominant 20 minutes from the Diamonds, Wood went close to levelling midway through the half when Ross Evans spun his marker only to fire over the target.
