■ SHEFFIELD FC ended their winless run in a dull contest at the Home of Football, as they overcame a stubborn Pontefract side to earn a valuable victory.
Club took the lead on the half-hour when a ball over the top from Joe West was flicked on by Josh Ayres to Jack Watson, who easily rounded Will Mitchell and rolled the ball into the empty net.
Ponte equalised in first-half injury time. Along Greenough throw was lofted on to the back post, with Danny Burns rising highest to nod home.
Sheffield grabbed the winner ...
