STRIKER Tom Cursons secured the victory for high-flying Ilkeston Town against Mickleover to aid their promotion bid but admitted that his goal “was not the prettiest”.
However, it was a joy for the home fans who waited 88 minutes to see their side overcome local rivals Mickleover in a match hampered by the wind.
Colin Daniel’s free-kick proved too hot to handle even for keeper Yusef Mersin, who was the visitors’ best player.
