THOMAS SETS SEASIDERS ON COURSE WITH EARLY STRIKES

NATHAN THOMAS netted twice in the first half to set Whitby on course for a comfortable victory at Bamber Bridge.
The Seasiders didn’t look back from the moment the in-form front man prodded home in the sixth minute after his initial attempt was blocked by a defender.
Gary Liddle’s men assumed control, and Stephen Walker missed the target after keeper Shane Bland picked him out. Layton Watts repeated the trick following another fine pass from Bland.
