Macc on attack as hosts hammered

RUNAWAY leaders Macclesfield eased to victory, maintaining their 16-point lead at the top after two goals in each half handed Robbie Savage’s side all three points.
Despite a bright start from Gainsborough, Macc scored with their first attack, Luke Duffy able to weave in from the left and finish calmly past Dylan Wharton in the Trinity goal.
The hosts caused the champions-elect a couple of scares – hitman Declan Howe hauled down, with nothing given.
