LEEK Town’s recent impressive run of results continued with a hard-fought victory over visitors Lancaster City.
The Blues took the lead from the spot on 25 minutes. Liam Buckley was tripped with the Lancaster players arguing the offence had taken place just outside the area.
Alex Hurst ignored the protests to score from the spot before doubling the home side’s lead on 40 minutes.
A rapid Leek counterattack saw the tireless Buckley burst forward and find Hurst with a defence splitting pass, and he coolly finished left-footed...
