STOCKSBRIDGE had all of the chances and none of the goals, allowing Ashington to commit a smash-and-grab victory yesterday afternoon.
Twenty seconds into the match, Stocksbridge should have had the lead when Jack Dolman’s close range effort some how was blocked wide of the goal.
From the resulting corner, Ashington went on the counter and got their own set piece. It was whipped in, headed back across goal and Ben Williams scored from close range.
