WORCESTER narrowed their way past play-offrivals Long Eaton United to strengthen their promotion position with a narrow win.
With Long Eaton just behind, a win was vital to add comfort between themselves and the chasing pack.
The game was a tight contest with both sides forging one another into brave defending, but it took until the second half for Adam Mace made the difference. The Worcester player collected the ball with 12 minutes to go and hit a majestic strike to put the hosts ahead, and eight points clear of seventh.
