CLEETHORPES returned to the top Town after they won away at Heaton Stannington. The Lincolnshire side took the lead with just nine minutes on the clock when Curtis Bateson drove the ball past Matthew Cassap.
Heaton pulled level after 18 minutes with their first chance of the afternoon as Jay Errington was played in by Andrew Burn. The forward kept his composure to slot the ball into the far bottom corner of Ollie Battersby’s goal.
