A SPIRITED fightback from Lancaster City could not prevent Ashton United winning their fifth successive home match to move up to joint second place.
Twelve minutes into the action, Lancaster’s former Robin Marcus Cusani collected a pass from a quick break before firing over the top.
A minute later the visitors’ Harrison Beeden cleared Louis White’s cross for a corner. It reached White at the back post, but he shot straight at Aidan Dowling.
