DURING a tight game of few chances, ten-man Leek Town were undone by a late Liam Buckley own goal as Morpeth’s play-off ambitions were boosted after consecutive away victories.
A scrappy first-half saw both only register one shot on target.
Jack Foalle saw his bouncing effort easily saved by Leek goalkeeper Xander Parke whilst Lucas Weir’s volleyed effort on the stroke of half-time produced a good save by opposite number Dan Langley.
