■ DARLASTON’S playoff ambitions suffered a major set-back as they suffered defeat to a struggling Boldmere.
All of the goals came in a frenetic first half and it was the Mikes who started the better with Kevin Ngombi opening the scoring in the 22nd minute with a composed finish.
It was 2-0just six minutes later as Nathan Oyemade tucked away a penalty for the visitors.
It was far from one-way traffic as the hosts reduced the defecit in the 30th minute when striker Kieran Cook found the back of the net.
