Hyde seek points to sink Whitby bid

WHITBY’S wretched home form continued in a third straight defeat and with it, they dropped back into the NPL Premier’s bottom four.
The hosts started brightly enough when Layton Watts’ eighth-minute cross was headed into the path of Adam Gell, by Matty Tymon, only for Callum Hiddleston to save.
However, it was Hyde who took the lead on 24 minutes when Jack Redshaw’s through-ball split the home defence and released the overlapping Callum Spooner, who laid back for Brad Holmes to clip past Shane Bland.
