BAMBER Bridge all but confirmed their place in the division for another season after this hardfought win over play-off chasing Ashton.
Ewan Bange netted the all-important winner for Brig just past the hour after Ashton’s Darius Osei had earlier cancelled out Emerich Poilly’s opener in the first half.
Ashton started the brighter and fashioned a couple of early chances – the best through James Hardy after he stole the ball from Michael Potts on the edge of the Bamber Bridge penalty area, he then struck towards goal...
