MACC HURT ROBINS’ HOPES

A FLURRY of late goals saw Macclesfield FC defeat Ilkeston Town, putting a major dent in the Robins play-off push.
Goals from John Rooney, D’Mani Mellor and a Danny Elliott brace saw the Silkmen surpass 100 league goals after securing 100 points last Saturday.
The game sparked ten minutes from time as Rooney got the Silkmen on the board.
A wonderful, cushioned finish across visiting keeper Matthew Yates saw Rooney net his 12th goal of the season in all competitions.
