CABLES AND ANCHORS PLAY OUT A STALEMATE

PRESCOT Cables and Stockton played out a draw at the Auto Safety Centre to get their league campaigns off to an unbeaten start.
The first half looked to be setting up the game for a typical bore draw.
Neither team had much to shout about beyond a Prescot Cables penalty claim towards the end of the half, which was waved away.
Cables looked the most likely to break the deadlock in the second half but couldn’t find their way past Stockton keeper Nathan Harker who pulled off a series of fine saves to keep the scores level.
