REDCAR Athletic scored twice, in each half, to mark their first Step 4 fixture with a resounding victory at Blyth Spartans.
Blyth had recorded only three victories, last year, finishing rock bottom of the division above and were ahead 20 minutes as Adam Boyes fired home.
Oscar Fletcher opened up the Blyth rearguard with a quality ball forward for experienced frontman Adam Boyes, who fired into the bottom corner past Callum Dobson.
