In-form Elliott’s spot on to rescue Cables

A STOPPAGE-TIME penalty from Prescot’s Ben Elliott ensured Friday night heartache for ten-man Leek at Hope Street.
Elliott, who struck a hat-trick for Cables in Tuesday night’s 3-0 win over Hednesford Town, coolly earned his side a point from the spot to continue their solid start to the season.
Leek were forced to play with ten men for 50 minutes after Lucas Weir was sent off for two yellow cards, but they edged in front on 65 minutes through Liam Edwards’ header.
