BOTH teams were looking to bounce back from midweek defeats, and it was the visitors who took the honours in front of a huge Shawbridge crowd.
Vauxhall took the lead through a Nick Rushton glancing header from a free-kick, before he grabbed his second of the game with a sublime volley from a cross.
Vauxhall made it three just before the break through a good Josh Solomon-Davies header, which should have been cleared.
In the second half, a sending off for each side saw Danny Wilkins for Clitheroe and Joe Malkin for Vauxhall...
