DAMIAN Kelly’s late double sent Coventry Sphinx to the top of the table with a dramatic victory.
A largely uneventful clash looked to be drifting towards a stalemate but Kelly came off the bench to net a quick-fire brace.
The victory denied the struggling Mikes a third successive win on their travels, where they have been enjoying better fortunes.
The three points propelled Sphinx to the summit and also ended the hosts’ four-match winless streak.
