■ LIAM Moran scored twice as Belper comprehensively beat Rushden & Diamonds.
The visitors came close to opening the scoring after 23 minutes when Tejan Thomas’s quick-fire volley was brilliantly saved by Nailers’ ‘keeper Kieran Preston.
Belper’s inventive approach play needed a better final pass but early in the second period, skipper Jack Broadhead nodded the hosts in front from a Louis Keenan corner.
