■ MERSTHAM picked up a second straight win as second-half strikes saw off struggling Hastings.
The home side almost opened the scoring after two minutes, but skipper Matt Drage saw his free kick cannon back off Harley Earle’s bar.
Both sides traded attacks, but Earle’s goal was most under threat, particularly when a corner saw Korrey Henry and Drage headers cleared off the line by United defenders.
