■ THREE GOALS in the opening 25 minutes all but sealed Congleton’s comprehensive win over Wythenshawe Town.
The hosts took the lead after just three minutes when Max McCarthy put pres-sure on Dan Dolling, who planted the ball past his own keeper. That was the catalyst Congleton needed, as they made it 2-0 after 13 minutes, with Matty Gillam on the end of Ethan Hartshorn’s miscued shot.
McCarthy added another spectacular goal to his highlight reel - a sublime half volley from close range to make it 3-0.
