■ LONG Eaton leapt to 12th in the table after a solid victory over Wellingborough.
A frantic opening period started with the visitors hitting the crossbar after just three minutes.
Captain Lewis King then saved Eaton’s blushes keeping out Isa Abrahamu, who was one-on-one with the keeper, after 13 minutes.
Evan Garnett opened the scoring for the home side after 24 minutes with a shot on the turn.
