Robins frustrate Trinity to end losing sequence

GAINSBOROUGH Trinity dropped more points at home as struggling Ilkeston Town ended a run of six straight defeats, the Robins scoring just one goal in their last seven outings.
A goalless stalemate in foggy conditions lacked festive cheer for either side, as Ian Deakin’s Ilkeston cancelled out play-off chasing Gainsborough.
Chances were at a premium throughout, with Jonny Margetts and Javelle Clarke wasting glorious opportunities for Russ Wilcox’s men.
