RUNCORN Linnets stayed in the frame for the play-offs after taking a point from a goalless draw at Bootle.
The home side had an early chance when Lewis Earl ran into space outside the area only to shoot straight at Linnets goalkeeper Bailey Passant.
Bootle lost Joe Woolley to injury half an hour into the game which allowed new Christmas Eve signing Somto Ifezue to make his first appearance for the club.
