■ STALYBRIDGE moved into the play-off places with an entertaining win at Congleton.
Ruben Jerome pounced on a defensive error before rounding Dave Parton to score the opener before netting from a rebound to double the lead.
Congleton found a way back into the game after 26 minutes when Max McCarthy was brought down by Charlie Monks in the area – McCarthy stepped up and converted the penalty.
Shortly after the break, Stalybridge extended their two goal lead with a lovely strike from Liam Tongue.
