GUISELEY gained an important three points as they moved a step closer to safety by defeating Whitby Town, who are just two points off the drop zone.
The Lions took the lead with a little over a quarter of an hour gone.
Kyle White took a touch on the edge of the area and delivered a cross that was expertly headed in by Elliot Owen.
Whitby’s Jake Charles had a good opportunity to level the scores when a cross found him in the middle of the area but his effort had too much pace and went over the bar.
