■ A GOAL from on-loan defender Ben Williams in the early stages of the second half earned Ashington a deserved but precious three points.
Williams got on the end of a free-kick from Josh Gilchrist in the 56th minute to hammer home.
Williams will get the plaudits for his match winner, but it came only five minutes after home stopper Matty Alexander had dived to his left to deny Dunston’s Josh Donaldson from the spot after Will Shaw had been brought down in the box by Rory Powell.
