SAMSON HEWETT led the way as Bedworth got the better of Rushden & Diamonds.
The hosts took the lead after 30 minutes, when they were awarded a penalty.
Hewett’s free-kick was heading to the back post for Elliot Parrott, but was elbowed by Joel Nketia and the referee pointed to the spot.
Hewett duly stepped up and powerfully drilled the ball past keeper Dan Jezeph into the bottom right corner to make it a deserved 1-0 to the Greenbacks.
