■ SHEPSHED Dynamo fought out a close contest with Long Eaton.
The first half produced little by way of chances, with Shepshed’s Jowan Partridge flashing the ball across goal from the left byline which took a deflection, flying narrowly wide of the far post in the 37th minute.
An even start the second half eventually went on to produce an opportunity for Long Eaton’s Tristan Thompson-Matthews. The Long Eaton attacker broke clear of the Dynamo defence and lifted the ball over goalkeeper Dan Wallis for a 64th-minute opener.
