New Man In Charge At Mossley

Peter Band has been appointed as the new manager of Mossley following Steve Halford’s move to Ashton United.

PETER BAND has been appointed as the new manager of Mossley following Steve Halford’s move to Ashton United.

Halford quit the Lilywhites earlier in the week to become joint-manager of Ashton, who compete a league above Mossley in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.

His successor Band first arrived at Seel Park in August 2011, joining them as a player and going on to make over 40 appearances during the 2011/12 campaign.

He became Halford’s number two last season and took a backseat on the playing side of things, featuring just six times.

Band has now been handed the reins following Halford’s shock departure and will be in charge for their pre-season away at Chadderton on Monday.
