STEVE CUSS has resigned as manager of after four-and-a-half years in charge but will remain on the club’s board of directors.

Cuss was handed a big stake in the League Southern Division One South & West club by former chairman Paul Miller.

He owns 29.9 per cent in Parmiter Holdings, the parent company which owns 75 per cent of Wimborne, after replacing Miller as a director.

However, the Magpies have struggled on the pitch this season, winning only three of their 14 league games so far.

And Cuss decided to call time on his spell as manager following Saturday’s 3-0 home defeat to mid-table .

A club statement read: “Steve Cuss has stood down as manager of Wimborne Town FC.  The board has reluctantly accepted his decision and thank him for all the hard work and dedication he brought to the club.  Steve will remain a director of the club.”
