St Albans City Appoint Permanent Bosses

James Gray and Graham Golds have been confirmed as the new joint-managers of St Albans City.

St Albans

JAMES GRAY and Graham Golds have been confirmed as the new joint-managers of St Albans City.

The pair took over on a caretaker basis following the sacking of David Howell last month and have since masterminded back-to-back wins over Leamington, who had been unbeaten, and Bedworth United.

They have now been rewarded with the managerial reins permanently and the club’s interim chairman, Nick Archer, feels they are the men to take the club forward.

Speaking to the club’s website, Archer said: “After the recent run of excellent results, particularly the outstanding 3 – 0 win against an unbeaten Leamington team, the board felt that it was only right to confirm their appointment as managers.

“James and Graham have formed a great working partnership and impressed in their role with the midweek youth team, which made them the right men for the job.

“Elevating people already at the club has great advantages and, personally, I am looking forward to the new era and to the second half of the season.”
