EX-PETERBOROUGH United and Hull City striker Jonathan Edwards enjoyed his first visit to Westwood Road as he helped himself to a second-half hat-trick to condemn struggling St Ives to their fifth defeat in a row.
There were signs of improvement in Ives’ first-half performance as they battled hard to defend their box well and restrict the Waders to a single shot on goal.
But any small glimpses of optimism were blown away only 50 seconds after the restart as Edwards capitalised on a slip by Ben Jackson to open the scoring.
