JACK Mazzone went from zero to hero as Metropolitan Police beat 10-man Blackfield & Langley to leapfrog their rivals in the table.
The Blues striker missed a first-half penalty, but later scored the second goal in this 2-0 win.
The penalty drama came early when Mazzone’s own shot was parried by Blackfield keeper Lewis Noice and redefender Jordan Rose inexplicably caught the rebound.
Rose escaped with a yellow and Mazzone failed to extract further punishment, firing the spot kick wide of the target.
