■ RENE HOWE bagged his 10th goal of the season as Bedford beat Kidlington at the Eyrie.
A tight first half was a battle as the home side looked for an opening.
Connor Tomlinson went close on two occasions, and Howe rattled the bar.
After the break, Harry Way made a blinding fingertip save to deny Hugh Alban-Jones before the opener came in the 54th minute. Tomlinson’s cross was enough for Howe to beat Way. Another battle ensued until Dan Walker made sure of the points in the 90th minute.
