■ CIRENCESTER eventually ran out easy winners after struggling to break down a stubborn Melksham Town.
The visitors’ Jake Mawford came closest in the first 45 minutes, rattling a post just before the break – it was the only real moment worth reporting in a match played in difficult conditions.
However, a second-half brace from the impressive Centurion skipper Jake Lee, and another from Nick Peare gave the hosts a three-goal advantage.
