■ THE Devon derby played in glorious sunshine was a particularly dull affair. Neither side could find a breakthrough in the first half, Barnstaple Town coming closest when Brodie Montague headed a corner onto the crossbar in the 30th minute.
Willand responded when Jack Rice was set free, but his curling effort narrowly missed a post.
Into the second half, it was very much the same until Harry Baker in the 75th minute latched onto a cross to give the visitors the lead.
