■ THIS result almost certainly extinguished Thame’s slender hopes of a play-off place at the end of the season.
The only goal came in the 11th minute when Charley Barker split the visiting defence to find Rob Mason and his clinical finish beat the visiting keeper.
There was very little ‘end of season’ about the match with both sides frustrated by the woodwork in the first half, and St Neots keeper Luke Chadwick earning the points for his side with a double save from Lynton Goss after 19 minutes.
