Instant hit Andy Peaks reckons the FA Trophy will be a “fantastic distraction” for trailblazing Tamworth.
Eyebrows were raised when Peaks left play-off chasing AFC Rushden & Diamonds for the relegation-haunted Lambs in February but 25 points from 13 games – aratio that would have earned fourth spot across the season – secured a steady 10thplace finish.
The new campaign has heralded even better form with Tuesday’s 1-0 win at Hednesford Town sending Peaks’s charges into the weekend with a six-point lead at the Southern League Premier Central summit – 29 points...
