FROME overcame the shock of going behind in the first minute to claim victory in a match more even than the score suggests.
Slimbridge were handed a dream start as a backpass to Kyle Phillips allowed Rudi McKinnon time to nip in and roll it into an empty net.
The lead lasted only two minutes as James Ollis found himself unmarked in the box and he headed home from a corner.
Frome were ahead when Luke Hopper met a Sam Teale header to lob the ball over the stranded Lewis Adams from close range.
