IT WAS an early start in Walthamstow as they welcomed Welwyn Garden City and former manager Max Mitchell to Wadham Lodge.
The Stags started brighter but had nothing to show for their efforts other than a scuffed Dan Brock shot that trickled into the arms of Welwyn’s keeper.
Welwyn then got the upper hand with Josh Hutchinson’s shot being acrobatically saved by Walthamstow keeper Bradley Robinson. After the cagey first half, both teams opened up in the second and produced a number of chances.
