Hartley Wintney say they intend to have their new management team in place by the weekend after the exit of Ian Selley after just two months at the helm.
The 48-year-old was appointed in November 2022 after the departures of Ross Weatherstone and Tyrone Newton, but Selley has been unable to lift the club out of the relegation zone as they currently sit 20th in the Southern League Premier South division.
The Row's have only one win in their last five games conceding 15 and only scoring four in those games.
Director of football Anthony Millerick told his club's website: “Working alongside Ian to bring in players, I saw first-hand how hard they worked behind the scenes to make this work. Coming in at a delicate time, and after a really positive start, things went against them at crucial times, which killed any chance of much-needed momentum to pull us away from danger.
“Both are great football people and I thank them for their efforts and wish them the very best of luck at their next club when that comes about.”
This is the second managerial change of the season where Hartley have exited the FA Cup, FA Trophy and Hampshire senior cup under the previous regime.
The club expect a new manager to be in for the game on 21 January against Beaconsfield Town.
“Both Ian and Mick have worked extremely hard during their short tenure, and we thank them for their efforts on the club's behalf,” said club chairman Luke Mullen.
