■ HERTFORD beat high-flying North Leigh in a thrilling game in the rain.
The hosts took the lead early on when captain Joe Bennet superbly volleyed in from the edge of the box following a corner.
They proceeded to dominate the first half with full-backs Kurai Musanhi and Ryan Bernal creating overloads down the flanks but could not add to their lead.
It was more of the same after the break and Wilson Bernal finally doubled Hertford’s advantage with a header from a corner.
