RORY Coleman scored the only goal of the game on his return to Bracken Moor as Stocksbridge Park Steels edged Stamford in a tight encounter.
Coleman converted coolly from the spot after 38 minutes to put the hosts ahead at the break.
The second-half saw the Steels work hard to try and double their lead which they never looked like relinquishing to Stamford, who struggled all afternoon to convert their chances in front of goal, recording five shots on target throughout the match.
