MANAGERLESS Mangotsfield produced a spirited performance to edge past the Mitres, following the resignation of David Mehew.
They took a 27th-minute lead through Steve Davies, who showed his pace to lose his marker before turning and firing across the face of the goal, with the ball clipping the inside of the far post on its way in.
Buoyed by the breakthrough, they controlled the rest of the first half and new signing Mike Bryant, on his debut, added the second in the 35th minute, the ball going in off the bar.
